We asked primary school children to design an A3 poster which would highlight the importance of physical activity and encourage children to live a lively life, so that they grow into healthy, active adults.130 schools across Essex entered the competition and we received a total of 2567 posters!Our judging panel, comprised of representatives from Healthwatch Essex, Healthy Schools Essex, Active Essex and Healthwatch Southend, were very impressed with all the entries and had a very hard time coming to a final decision.

In the junior category, children were asked to include some sort of message in their poster.

We are delighted to announce our winners: 1st prize – Overall Winner Merrylands Primary School – Logan (age 9) Congratulations Logan!

Logan’s poster will feature in our Essex-wide awareness campaign and her school wins £1000 of activity equipment and an outdoor activity day. Runner-up – Infant The Cathedral C of E Primary School – Max (age 6) Well done Max!

His schools wins £250 of activity equipment and his poster will feature in our awareness campaign.
